Lee migrated to the US and began his culinary career at the age of 24. After starring in the 1st season of Masterchef USA (2010 finalist), he earned his 10,000 hours in the restaurants of Los Angeles as well as his own boutique catering endeavors. His means of choice are beautifully crafted and luscious platters of seasonal food, Mediterranean inspired. Through the agricultural atmosphere and the unwavering sense of community in his childhood, Lee understood from a very young age that breaking bread and sharing a meal are at the core of the human experience. Without agriculture, cooking and gatherings around food, there is no civilization.
Mission Olive (M.O.) is a culinary movement on a mission to bring true food and good people together. Launched in 2013, M.O. has served good food to hundreds of corporate and private clients, Always meant to be shared family-style, vibrant in color and seasonality.
The ideology that guides Mission Olive’s success speaks of the pivotal role a human connection plays when it comes to food. M.O.'s essence lies in an avant-garde approach to ancient traditions and ties back to Lee’s experiences around the Mediterranean.
